Corazones Solidarios

Empowering women in Roatán through sustainable fashion, technical training, and circular economy innovation.

Our Mission

"Transforming fashion into an economic tool for women with limited resources."

Corazones Solidarios, driven by Roatán Fashion Show and led by Margarita Gardeazabal and Patty Guilliams, seeks to train and certify 100 women — primarily single mothers — enabling them to generate sustainable income from home. By converting discarded fish skins into high-quality fashion products, we apply circular economy principles to create real economic impact on the island.

The Story

Corazones Solidarios: A Revolution in Sustainability.

In partnership with designer Pili Luna and the Roatán Fashion Show, our two-week intensive program equips women with the technical skills to transform discarded fish skins into high-value artisanal fashion — using only two buckets and special liquids provided by the organization. Raw materials are donated by Hynds Seafood, and the Roatán Marine Park ensures responsible environmental standards throughout.

Supported by partners including Roatán Peer Health Exchange, AmityAge, Bitcoin Roatán, and Honduras's Secretaría de Desarrollo Económico, the program is completely free. Over 50 women have already enrolled and limited spots remain. Every certified artisan builds a sustainable livelihood from home — proving that fashion can truly change lives.

Be part of the change.

Register for the program, attend the show, or spread the word. Every act of support transforms a life in Roatán.
